The Cabin Kids were comprised of siblings Fred, Helen, James and Winifred Hall and friend LaRuth Chavis. The Hall kids were born in South Carolina and raised in New Jersey. They started out as the Five Spirits of Harmony and were in films and on radio from 1934-1938 after which they had grown and broke up as a group. Helen, LaRuth and Winifred then became the Hall Sisters singing trio in the USO during Ww2 performing for segregated black soldiers. All the Cabin Kids are now deceased.
