Wonderland Burlesque's
The Twelve Days Before Xmas
Day One:
Suzy Snowflake - Rosemary Clooney
It's time once more to for Wonderland Burlesque's The Twelve Days Before Xmas. This year's theme? Vintage songs that never quite became holiday favorites, but are deserving of a little airplay... or at least another listen!
We kick it off with this Rosemary Clooney classic, Suzy Snowflake. So popular, it inspired a little stop-motion video! Originally issued on Columbia as single 39612 in 1951, Suzy Snowflake was written by Sid Tepper and Roy Brodsky and sung by Rosemary Clooney with a full orchestra as conducted by Tony Mottola.
The song doesn't mention Xmas, but it does celebrate winter in the most magical of ways.

I LOVE this song. One of my favorites. I far prefer the old vintage classics and obscure over any of the new stuff.
