Wonderland Burlesque's The Twelve Days Before Xmas - Day Two: Red Silk Stockings and Green Perfume - Don Cornell

Wonderland Burlesque's
The Twelve Days Before Xmas
Day Two:
Red Silk Stockings and Green Perfume - Don Cornell

Day two of The Twelve Days Before Xmas finds us listening to Don Cornell as accompanied by Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye.

Don Cornell hit the charts in 1942 and enjoyed a string of 35 (!) Top 40 hits until 1958. This song, Red Silk Stockings and Green Perfume, is a pop song written in 1946 by Bob Hilliard, Sammy Mysels, and Dick Sanford, hit #8 in 1947. It was originally issued as RCA Records 2-2251-B.

While not exactly an Xmas song, it does hint at the season's festive colors of choice, red and green.
