Today, we take a look at the Backdoor Library Series imprint.

Brought to you by the good people at Star Distributors, LTD., the Backdoor Library Series imprint published 12 titles, from 1974-1977. Star Distributors, LTD. operated out of a P.O. Box at the Canal Street Station in New York City.

The cover design is very similar to that of its brother imprint, Hard Boys, except, in this case, the iconic 'H' in the background is now a 'B', in a brilliant shade of fusia. The black and white erotic drawings remain of the same ilk, as does the font used for the title, price location, etc. 

One of the things they do share in common with the Hard Boys series is that they, too, began publication in 1974, only to cease in 1975, and then resume in 1976. 

The numbering system begins with BD-1001 and continues thus.

These books can be found for between $25 to $35.
