The lengths some would go... the time and money they would spend.
Entire product empires were built on the need for a man to dominate via his perfect coif.
Let's take a brief look at products and methods from the past and realize...

The men in my family used Wildroot.
Clubman Tres Flores and Pinaud and other brilliantines, hair tonics and pomades like Jocky Club, Lucky Tiger, Reuzel, Upper Cut and good ol VO5 will get the job done and make the follicles happy :)
