Word quickly spread.

For the boy proved fairly generous with his 'power'. 

Prolific, even.  And while, at times, the boy's choice of targets were deemed inappropriate...

The elders continued to appreciate his gifts.

 Who wouldn't like a little 'sugar'?

Soon the young man was branching out.

Trying new things.

Frequently, the learning curve proved quite high.

When stymied, he turned to his peers for help.

Soon, everyone was doing their part to help Archie find his way.

And time and again, they were rewarded handsomely for their efforts.

Alliances were formed.

And soon Archie was helping others develop their gifts.

Albeit, with mixed results. 

At times... those gifts weren't appreciated.

Yes, Archie had a good run. 

But there came the day when he began to get his comeuppance...

...and began to get as good as he had given.

So many people sharing their gifts with him.

It got to be a bit much for our boy.

In the end? It turned out our Archie truly only wanted one thing.

That thing which all of us long for...

...to be loved - not for his gifts, but for himself.
