Weekend Onesie: Bringing In The Sheaves

Weekend Onesie:
Bringing In The Sheaves

One last pass, clearing fields of gold.

That time of year, as autumn unfolds.

That which grew green and vibrant is now muted, drying in the wind and sun.

We gather what we can for storage, to nourish and keep us through the bitter season to come.

November: the transition month for farmers. The beginning of the month is one last sprint to finish fall field work. including sunflower harvest, fall spraying, and hay hauling.

In a way, it's a month of transition for us all.

Gather while you may, my dears.

Like solar panels, store the sun.
Keep it's warmth burning inside of you...
..until that golden orb returns once more.

This week we hit the plateau with fall color!!! I suspect by the end of next week the trees will be all but empty.
