In the wake of the so-called 'woke' movement and the backlash that followed, a number of toxic children's books have surfaced in order to get kids on the 'right' side of things.

But this is nothing new...

Take, for example, this sampling of classic (and a few more recent) books bent on and meant to make your child sit up and fly 'right'.

Humor comes in many forms.

Even when it's not so funny...

Because separation of church and state? What the hell's that?

This one came out in 2015.

Ah, a true classic of the genre.

So, once the political ideology is embedded, we move on to religion.

This illustration would seem to bely the fact that the bible is actually full of murder, genocide, rape, incest, blood sacrifices, animal cruelty and the list goes on and on, but... you get the gist.  

'Precious Moments', indeed.

Of course, none of that matters if there's ice cream.

Yes, true believers shall be rewarded - in this world, (as long as you tithe 10%.)

But sprinkles are for winners.

While not exactly a children's book, certainly one aimed at young artists. 

Can you spot the not-so-hidden agenda?

Now, I haven't seen the whole book, but something tells me that POC don't play a large role here.

On the other hand...

It would appear POC do indeed play a role do play a role in this little opus. 

That's right. 

Racist doctrine comes in many forms.

Ultimately... 

Get in line, stand up straight and do as 'we' say has always been with us.

Civil disobedience is not doubleplusgood.

If obeying becomes an issue?

Why that's why we have open-carry laws!

Guns. They're not tools for intimidation or to cause bodily harm...

They are a means of demonstrating that you have an understanding of The Second Amendment. 

A loose understanding, but, yes... you can make that work.

So, exercise you rights! Arm up!

Want something a little more subtle? 

A word to the unwise... bear arms come with sharp claws.

Not that we want to teach personal responsibility or accountability.

Silly liberals!

So, now that we have them on the pathway of the straight and narrow?

Let's keep it that way...

Straight, that is!

Boys, you can be polite... but not 'too' polite.

And girls? Well, clearly only one thing should matter to you.

Starving one's self can never begin to early.

Fit into that dress? And maybe you'll get yourself a man!

And don't even think of switching teams.

And that concludes our fast and furious look at grooming children via books. I'm sure there are plenty more examples, but... this is about all I can stomach.

Funny thing is... I looked for a book about children being taught to vote Democrat, and there weren't any. There were books stressing the importance of voting, participating in our government, and keeping our democracy safe, but...

Oh, wait a minute. 

 I guess in this day and age... those are liberal ideas.
