Thanks to Madison Avenue, capitalism, and corporations needing to move product, people - and women in particular - have been bombarded on a daily basis with the message that, no matter how we look, we don't look 'right'.

Yes, fads come and go... typically much more quickly than the psychological scars left in their wake.
