It was later included on Diamond's twentieth album, 1992's The Christmas Album and 2009's A Cherry Cherry Christmas, thus cementing it's place as part of the holiday canon. Diamond performed the song on his 1992 television Christmas special.

On December 4, 2009, Diamond told The Sun: "I wrote it to reflect my feeling that sometimes Christmas is too much about gifts and parties and the spiritual part is a secondary theme. I want to make a point of celebrating that part of the holiday."

I'm sure Neil Diamond would enjoy a gin or 12 with you. I am rather concerned about the size of his bauble in that last picture, though - it seems he'd be rather lopsided...
Always liked this dude. Saw him in concert in his very early days. Still one of the best I've attended. Nice imagery in the video!
